Good story, the battle system is good, and the music matches up with the game. What really makes this game special is the humor, I got quite a few laughs out of this one. You can 100% this game in about 18-20 hours so it won't just drag on. It does immediently pick right back up in the second Lilly and Sasha game. All in all this is something I would reccomend to anyone that likes playing RPG's, I look forward to playing the rest of these games.. Pros:Excellent music, graphics and gameplay.steam trading cardsGreat dialogue with humor, many good puzzle to solve.Characters with personality and well defined,Cons:. The plot is compelling and original, but despite the innovative combat interface the combat still feels like a generic fantasy RPG. Many of the quests are interesting, but some are tedious and fall into what I call a "queue stack", where what you really want is A, but then you need B to get A, and then need to do C to get B, so you have to do C to get B to get A. The writing is full of a quirky sense of humor with lots of Fourth Wall breaking and Lampshade Hanging, but unfortunately also a distinctly Libertarian political bent (at one point, one NPC literally rants about monetary policy and exchange rates). I got it because it was on sale for only $0.08, making it the best $0.08 I ever spent. But I'm not sure it's worth paying full price.. I really enjoyed this game. It's a nice and clever RPG. It has a lot more puzzles than most RPGs I've played, which was a nice change. I also like that the game is designed so that you don't need to grind, because grinding is not interesting, in spite of what some game designers seem to think. The storyline is entertaining, and the dialogue is frequently hilarious. I actually laughed out loud a lot. And I didn't spot any major grammar or spelling errors, which was a nice change; I'm used to RPGs where the creator doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're" which drives me crazy.Overall, I would recommend this game to people who like puzzles. If you're more inclined towards the pure battle-type RPG, then this is probably not for you, but if you like an RPG with story and lots of quests to do, then this is great!Update: Almost 3 years later, and I've replayed this game multiple times; it's still one of my favorites.. I bought this game because it was 99% off during the Halloween Sale. I got more out of selling the cards from this game than I actually paid. The game is wonderful (though I love RPG Maker games). The music is absolutely amazing and the story has quite a bit of humour in it. It's charming and I would normally strongly recommend it (in fact I convinced a couple of friends to pick up the game). There are some minor issues, for instance the battle system is very "meh" and not involved... it's extremely easy. The only con on the story I would say is that it's too dialogue heavy... or more accurately, it seems like there's a lot of dialogue that was just thrown in to be in there. With that in mind though, I would still recommend this game if it were not for 1 thing. I broke the game and can't play it anymore. I posted on the forums for this game and have received no response. If I do get a response that fixes the issue I will change my review.Essentially what happened was in Vault 2 there is a puzzle. I completed the puzzle (and when you do you lose the ability to reset it). The problem was the way I completed the puzzle blocked the way I came. I thought nothing of this. I finished the vault and there was a save point right at the end... so I saved it. Upon trying to leave the vault... oh♥♥♥♥♥♥.. I blocked the door... now I can't leave. I am literally stuck in this vault, unable to leave, and unable to play the game in any capacity. Of course I only had 1 save and I was over 10 hours into the game... and quite frankly I don't feel like replaying those 10+ hours. So until a fix is made... you get a negative review Lilly and Sasha.UPDATE: Dev got back to me and is fixing this for me as we speak. Very helpful and quick... changed my review to a positive because the game is quite good and he fixed the issue so easily.. It is really good mix of logical game and 2D rpg.+ price - i get it for 8 cents :)+ gameplay - it taked me about 20h to beat game+ fighting - it is easy to control and you can upgrade your 2 basic attack with runes + pets that gives bonuses in battles+ controls - you can control with mouse or keyboard (arrowkeys + 2 buttons)+ steam trading cards and badge- normal price- gold cap - you can have max 750g, so i found myself many times with full wallet and nothing to buy.. I absolutely loved this game. Reminded meof my younger days sitting at my Nintendo playing Dragon Warrior for hours on end. I had a hard time putting this one down as well. Challenging puzzles and an interesting story line. Looking forward to starting the sequel. Definately a must buy for us old school gamers.. ─▄▀─▄▀──▀──▀█▀▀▀▀▀█▄█░░░░░█_█▀▄▄▄▄▄▀▀The combat is just so good and the story is very interesting. The best RPG game on Halloween Sale.I like this.99/99. Great RPG has lots of puzzles some are challenging too... the puzzles sorta remeind me of some Zelda puzzles and im a Zelda fan.. The game is unplayable -I bought this game sometime last year, but never played it until now... Except now I can't play it because it literally goes like 3 fps...I built my pc - it's got enough power to make this game run at 9000 fps... There's absolutely no reason for this game to be so poorly optimized... makes no sense------------------System Information------------------Time of this report: 5/9/2016, 20:08:23 Machine name: CASSIUS Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.160211-0600) Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
